I think Thurman is a bit too fast for Garcia. Danny can rise to the occasion, like he did against Matthysse... but his stock has been on the decline as of late. It sort of depends on which Garcia shows up. I think he's got the skills and power to keep Thurman honest... but in the end I voted Thurman by decision.

This is a good fight and solid match up. I think that Garcia is the more skilled of the two, but would bet on Thurman by decision due to his size and range advantage. Garcia is a great counterpuncher, and fights up or down to the level of his competition, but he is moving up and he isn't as blessed naturally as Thurman. Credit to both for making this fight.

I understand his style is not exactly easy on the eye, but guess what..he has the heart to always win.

Give the guy a break..he has faced much better opposition than Thurman.

Thurman has faced better fighters at welterweight no question. Stop trying to make Garcia out to be better than he is just because of what he did at the lower weight.

Floyd would make it look easy. He's faster, has better defense, and a longer reach than Thurman.

I think people dislike Garcia because they can't stand his father... which is unfair I know. About his style, I wouldn't say that at all. I like his style. Yes, he's under-performed for some reason at times... but when he's "on", he's fun to watch. And yes.... I say he's faced better opposition than Thurman. That being said, the move up in weight, and given Thurman's speed and power, I stick with my thought of a Thurman win by decision.
