    Default Wimbledon 2017

So Tito, could think Federer can do it now?

Damn I hope so. Well rested from previous injuries. Murray, Djokovic, and Nadal all bit the dust.
    Already into the semifinals.

    If not now... then when?

Everyone is on his side. Roger Federer has reached his 11th Wimbledon final set against Marin Cilic. At 35, he is the second-oldest man to reach a Wimbledon final and should he triumph, he will be the oldest winner of all-time. Taking the time off from French was a good move.

Oh ok... I was behind on the results. Great that Roger advanced into the finals! Rooting for Roger all the way. Put some distance between himself and his closest pursuers (in majors).

Nadal fans might point out that he's got 15 and counting....... but 10 of those are French. Not varied enough a portfolio for me.

    Roger TBE.

I do not think Nadal can catch up although he looked very angry to be knocked out after coming back from 2 sets down only to lose 15-13 in the final set.

He's only 31. On French Opens alone he'd only need to win 3 more (4 if Roger wins this) to catch up.
It wouldn't be fair, IMO. He's a clay specialist.... not the overall wizard TBE is.

I love Federer. Poetry in motion, with a very sharp cutting edge.

You watch him and its like watching Cassius Clay, or Usain Bolt, Olga Korbut or Pele.

    Superb

8 Wimbledon titles surpassing Sampras with the most wins for a male player. Ironically Federer beat Pete way back 2001, when he was just 19. I think it proves Roger is the best ever.

Cilic just completely crumbled didn't he, it was all a little bizarre when he sat down and started crying, I know that nerves must play a fucking huge part in it but I've never seen anything like that before.

Federer is just brilliant though isn't he, game of the tournement for me though was Muller v Nadal

Cilic says he was crying because of the injuries preventing him from playing his best.

Yes the game where Nadal nearly came back was the best match of the tournament.

    TBE

Yes..... this is truly one of those occasions when you can truly use that adjective, and be correct.

Imagine Federer throwing his whole legacy away by taking on the badminton champion.
