    Default Tom Bradley retires

Jeez. Three big retirements within a week. Bradley had a solid career. For sure HOF with their weak standards, but still a fringe HOFer with higher standards.

Bradley was a really good fighter but for some reason he just never hit that very top even though he basically beat everyone he fought up until Pacquiao. Tough guy which I respect. I have gone back and forth multiple times whether I liked him or not. He had a few fun fights. Some semi boring ones.

    Nothing else to say.

It's Tim... but yeah... another big retirement.

Was never a true Bradley fan, although I admired his commitment and work ethic. I just never found his fights very compelling at all.
He did it right, however. "Only" 34, and not very shop-worn at all. He now gets to sit back and enjoy the fruits of his labor. Maybe he feels he can go fulltime under Teddy's wing and become a serious TV commentator.

I had a feeling he would have. He made some mega bucks fighting Manny. He obviously saved. No reason to continue, and it is not like the young guys are not meaner than when he first started out. Bradley, with his age and lack of true power, going up against legit animals like Spence, Thurman, Garcia and Porter is not worth it anymore, quite frankly. :P

He got the biggest payday he could have POSSIBLY have gotten facing Manny, outside of not facing Floyd. (Manny should quit too, by the way... Arum shitted on you long enough, go back to the Philipines to be who you wanna!)

Like JMM they earned a lot of money which they could not guarantee getting fighter lesser fighters. They did not want to start again on the smaller purses. Therefore it was the only logical step.

There was a spell when Tim Bradley was my favourite fighter on the planet. I could never understand why the Americans didn't really take to him. He even said he fought the way he did against Provodnikov to try to get the fans onside. Ridiculously brave , with a fine line towards dumb.
His performance against Marquez was top,top drawer, and no matter what anybody says, he's got a W against his name against Pacquiao!
Happy retirement Tim, you thoroughly deserve it.

American boxing fans and boxing aficionados LOVE intense savagery. Eubank Jr can make MILLIONS in the USA, but Billy Joe Saunders not so much. Ya know?

Wow, time fights against prod were a sight to see. I did turn against him a while after he won the fight he lost to manny but I got over that quickly. I really enjoyed watching any of tims fights, sad to see him go but I wouldn't be surprised if some of those shots prod gave him made his doctor suggest retirement. These announcements always make me feel old

You boys are all missing a trick here, he has only retired because Teddy got in his head and made him believe that he wants to be a fireman

If nothing else, he beat up Junior Witter, which is a good thing.

Bradley also avoided Khan and moved up weight when he was a serious challenger for Tim.

Bradley had a seriously solid resume.

Beat everyone he ever faced (although he is 1-2 vs Pac) - even if it was controversial.

    Only ever lost against Manny

    Very Good wins vs:
Witter who was highly regarded at the time and in the UK
Undefeated Devon alexander & Peterson - and owed them both with ease imo
    Marquez

    Good wins vs
    Casamayor
    Provod
    Holt
    Vargas

    Very underated fighter

An excellent fighter with an excellent career. I think he would have given Mayweather a very good fight given the opportunity.

Dont be mental. Aint no one avoided Khan ever, especially Tom 'Dessert Eagle' Bradley.

Where's your proof? Tom Brady is not afraid of anyone.
