Unless Maidana can lose about 30 pounds or so, he will either fight at anywhere above LH or retire for good. But a fight with Porter would not be a fight, but it would be a death match.... Ambulance on standby, a non-engaging referee who stays out of the picture and two good hype men who know how to sell a fight because both of those guys are dry as hell to listen to. Maidana speaks poor english and Porter is too nice.

It would be a rough and tough fight as all of Porter's fights are, unless he is fighting a superior boxer who can stay on the outside or in the center of the ring consistently.

In his prime, I'd give Maidana a good chance with his punching power. 50/50 fight, really. Porter is very aggressive, very tough, very busy, and very, very dirty. Headbutter extradonairre.

He is more of a bruiser. Have you ever seen him in a brawl? I've seen him in many fights and he never really brawls. His fight vs Thurman was good but it wasn't a brawler type fight. He smothers himself too much to brawl.
