Anyone gone fishing yet ?
I not been able to find where you can buy a rod - i won't be trying to catch the 30 breed of fish or anything like that but will try it once

Ok screw it I'm finally in . Bought the disk and install took no time but infamous updates needed all night. Will check out when get home but sounds like they make you go through an extended tutorial?
Ok I've played for a few hours now and I really like it.
The controls can be a little clunky at times, I have run people over while trying to lasso them, then get a bounty on me etc.
Quick tip for anyone beginning, keep your fist equip instead of your gun, so many times I went to talk to people, forgetting my gun was equip, the left trigger (aim) is the same as talk to people, so I would end up drawing my weapon and starting a fight.
There are some minor glitches, and things that are unnecessary but overall I really like it. Think I'm addicted. A few hours can fly by, with the feeling of having done nothing much at all. So must be having fun.
Watch a vid on quick draw if you haven't played the first or its been awhile. Keep your dead eye as full as possible, it makes things easier.
I also try to loot every body I see.
Oh and any witnesses, chase them down, rather than kill them, killing them makes it worse and can add to your bounty. Or hide the body real good.
Haven't been fishing yet, but run into a few alligators.
They live, We sleep
Can anyone point out the signs of a midlife crisis? I just ordered a new recliner set and speakers based solely on the anticipation of playing this game for the first time. Too much info. Might have to quit my job Saturday to free up time, but hell that's been on the table regardless.
I've been playing for what seems an age and only on 21%.
What are you supposed to do when you accidentally shoot someone. I leave town but they're still hunting for me.
The riding in missions drags.
Do you get challenged to draws in this? Haven't as yet

I had a couple of duels in the interview the gun slingers for a book side mission. I blew their brains out. The woman was nice and I helped her, but the other chaps got wasted.
First impression his voice bugs me . Sounds like a middle age follower compared to first game. And the trigger seems like you have to hold it down and your first companion cannot be shot from behind.
Yes, he is no John Marston. I actually prefer the original RDR so far. The new one is nice but it is clunky and Mark is right that you spend hours on a horse just holding the X button. After Spiderman and the smoothness and fantastic controls this is a bit annoying sometimes. Rockstar needs to improve its control system. I couldn't give a hoot about petting a horse or changing clothes for weather either. I'm a wild man I can take the cold. In real life too. This isn't The Sims. I never played those kinds of games.
I might have to buy Farming Simulator next.

Yep the changing clothes and looking after your core is bollocks – don’t mind looking after health bar and dead eye core but would be handy if it is something you can switch off if you just cba with all that and want a different experience.
Did a mission this morning and took about 40 minutes – would have been quicker but on my way to it I helped a woman who’s horse had died and she wanted a ride to Emerald Ranch. Ten minutes out of my fucking way with pointless chat and annoyed the fuck out of me (yes I know I shouldn’t have helped her).
Will probably just concentrate on the main yellow storylines now. No fishing, hunting etc and I’m growing a beard ffs
