    Default Boxing Fans Rationalization Theory

I took a cursory look around the Internet and didn't find anything on this... so I'll just throw it out there myself.

    TitoFan's Boxing Fans Rationalization Theory:

"The list of reasons and/or excuses found and/or created by boxing fans to justify a devastating upset loss by a champion grows proportionately (and sometimes exponentially) in accordance to the time elapsed after the fight."

Before continuing, I'll add some relevant facts here for clarification. First... I like Joshua as a heavyweight champion, and definitely think he can come back to regain his championship. (He'll need a serious mental reset, though). Second... I've stated that I don't feel Joshua quit. He was soundly beaten and was in no shape to continue. Plain and simple. Joshua himself has offered no excuses (this one is key to remember as I expand on my theory). In fact, Joshua was very magnanimous in defeat.

    Now to my theory.

The list began slowly, but has picked up steam. As far as I can tell, the following is a current list of excuses as to why Joshua lost to Ruiz (who sadly gets the short end of the stick, because.... according to my theory..... in about a month's time, Ruiz will not have won at all).

Let's see.... we have stuff like....

AJ suffered a concussion in sparring before the fight.
It was the new surroundings. His first time in Madison Square Garden.
He's practicing Muslim and it was the fasting that did him in.
Panic attack in the dressing room.
Lack of steroids in the system.
Something was wrong with Joshua before the fight.

FFS..... if Ruiz hadn't won that fight, he'd probably be the worst heavyweight challenger in history considering how enormously the deck was stacked against Joshua.

Yeah... yeah... this is a boxing forum and of course its purpose is to talk about fights. Just adding a little something to it.

(BTW..... had Ruiz flattened Wilder instead..... would we still have a similar list?)
