Shadow box every chance you get, punch as quick as you can
Thats cricket
Isometric strectching is the best way to prepare the muscle and tendons for speed work. Its no good trying to get faster by any degree it wont happen, your genetic memory to an extent rules. You have to try and change it,and strecthing is the way to do it.Plus the one big thing stops you going faster is your eyesight. Its the only sense that doesnt go direct to the brain,Both eyes dont see the same thing, there lies the problem. But their are ways round it. stay tuned.
Pain lasts a only a minute, but the memory will last forever....

shadow box and bag work with heavy gloves, punching as fast as you can.
I bought these little weights that can wrap around your ankles or wrists or wherever, and I wear them when I go running, shadow box, heavy bag, everything and when I take them off and just got my gloves on, my hands feel so much lighter. I definitely punch faster and harder once I take them off after training with them on.
is this with gloves on? or just hands?Originally Posted by Poom
I would say without gloves, however saying this if you have some heavy gloves doing shaddow boxing with them would improve speed.
1 great rule I have learnt in life is if you try hard enough you will do it, just keep up the hard work and use the ideas that have been said above.
