Knockout Bullying With Boxing Legend Rocky Marciano

Former Heavyweight Boxing Champion Larry Holmes, will be the honored guest during an anti-bullying campaign fund-raiser designed to ‘Knockout Bullying’, that is being held at one of New Jerseys’ historic pieces of landscape, the Linwood Country Club on August 26th, 2010.

Rocky Marciano Jr.,will host the event that will be filled with entertainment, special guests and campaign highlights. Rocky Jr., has partnered with the campaign and is excited to participate in this event and the campaign, that bears his legendary fathers name.

Rocky Marciano still carries the title of the only Heavyweight Boxing Champion to retire undefeated of 49-0, which is likely to never be surpassed. “To become an undefeated champion takes inner strength and self-confidence,.

“Kickin’ Its program is designed to encourage and provide all youngsters with the resources and tools to build self-confidence and self-esteem, with a unique program that has every component to combat bullying behavior amongst our youth.” states Rocky Jr.

The Rocky Marciano World Foundation presents: The Bullying…We’re Kickin’ It across America, National Campaign is focused on protecting youngsters and preventing at-risk situations that arise from verbal, physical, emotional, sexual and racial bullying and the dangers that follow from one-on-one incidences, group assaults and internet attacks to inappropriate text messaging. A powerful multi-level course of action with an aggressive approach that has the muscle to eradicate this ever growing epidemic that is plaguing our youth.

The only heavyweight who challenged Marciano’s record was Holmes who went 48-0. “Larry Holmes supporting the campaign is an absolute honor, he is an example of strength and determination, a champion that has fought the odds in and out of the ring.” states Rocky Jr., “When we introduced the campaign to him, he stepped into the ring without hesitation. He is a great athlete and great example for youngsters to follow.”

Other special guest for the event include, Miss New Jersey USA, Chenoa Greene, and 2010 N. American Muay Thai Champion Chris Romulo. “Having diverse individuals that are in the public eye, all come together and unite, is what Kickin’ Its campaign is about, this truly sets a powerful example to our youth and to communities across the country.’ states Chris Romulo.
