IBF Intercontinental cruiser champ Yoan Pablo Hernandez will again defend the title against stablemate Enad Licina October 2 in Monte Carlo on the undercard to Abraham vs Froch.

Hernandez vs Licina is also a final IBF eliminator with the winner to fight champ Steve Cunningham in what is likely to be a part of the Super Six tournament at cruiserweight. All three fighters are promoted by Sauerland Event.

Russian heavy Alexander Povetkin, still with Teddy Atlas as trainer, begins the road back into title contention October 30 in Rostock on the undercard to IBF middleweight champ Sebastian Sylvester´s defence against a yet to be announced opponent. Povetkin begins training camp September 14 in his hometown of Kursk.

While K2 Ukraine have a very good stable of fighters the Klitschko´s main company, K2, doesn’t use any of them in its show September 11 in Frankfurt / Main where Wladimir Klitschko defends the IBF and WBO heavyweight titles against Samuel Peter.

In the chief support Jonathon Banks defends the NABF heavyweight title against Mexican veteran Saul Montana. Lightweight Gabor Veto, welter Ali Ahraoui and junior middle Dominque Dalton are also on the show.

The team around WBA interim middleweight champ Gennadyi Golovkin have offered WBC interim middleweight ruler Sebastian Zbik a purse of 100,000 Euros net for a showdown to take place on the Pacquiao vs Margarito show November 13 in Dallas, TX.

The EBU has postponed the purse bids for Aleksander Dimitrenko´s defence of the EBU heavyweight title against Audley Harrison from September 3 to September 10 – this might be an indication of that Haye vs Harrison is not yet a done deal and that Audley likes to keep another door open.

Former European middle champ Amin Asikainen continued his comeback at super middle this past weekend in Helsinki with an easy fourth round stoppage of Mexican Jaudiel Zepeda. Next up is a bigger test on a bigger show sometime in November also in Helsinki where Amin is likely co-headline with heavyweight Robert Helenius.
