Boxing Binman – Rendall Munroe is just 72 hours away from his world title shot against WBC Super-Bantamweight Champion – Toshiaki Nishioka of Japan , and it seems that things could not have gone any better for the likeable Leicester man and his team.
Munroe gave a public work-out this week and the many Japanese media looked ‘taken aback’ by Munroe’s physique and speed in training.
From Tokyo , last night/this morning, Trainer Jason Shinfield told SaddoBoxing that Munroe is ‘being well looked after’. Despite Jason’s comment that Munroe is ‘loving the freshly baked bread over here’ he added that “he has been under the weight every morning!”
“Rendall’s steamer (which he packed in his suitcase) didn’t work so he’s had to buy a new one but he’s been eating the right food – so there’s no problems”.
“Today, (Thursday) he will have his medical and get his weight checked, there is another press conference (his fourth one this week) and there’s another one planned for Friday. But they are very well organised over here.”
Rendall Munroe v Toshiaki Nishioka will be live on SkySports 2 at 10 am ( UK time) on Sunday 24th October.
