Win By KO Boxing: Klinefelter vs. Ruiz February 5

On Saturday February 5, 2011 at the Johnson County 4-H Fairgrounds, in Iowa City, IA, Win By KO Promotions presents February Fisticuffs, an evening of professional boxing.

In the 6-round main event, Iowa City’s undefeated Emily “the Enforcer” Klinefelter, 9-0, 3 KOs, will be fighting U.S. #5 ranked super bantamweight Christina “the Bullitt” Ruiz, 5-3-1, 3 KOs, of San Antonio, Texas.

Other local fighters scheduled to be on the card include Dan “the Man of War” Almeida, 3-0, 3 KOs, and George Carter, Jr., 1-0, 1 KO, in addition to several other pro boxing bouts.

Christina “the Bullitt” Ruiz, from San Antonio, Texas, is 5-3-1, 3 KOs in her pro career, and is ranked #5 in the U.S. Undefeated Emily “the Enforcer” Klinefelter, born and raised in Iowa City, is 9-0, 3 KOs as a pro, and is ranked #3 in the U.S.

Two top five ranked fighters in the nation will be fighting each other for fistic supremacy. Both have nine pro fights. Emily is the Iowa City native. Ruiz is coming all the way from San Antonio, Texas, and she takes pride in her Mexican heritage. Ruiz recently fought a draw with U.S. #6 ranked Celina Salazar.

Christina lost a majority decision to #2 ranked Johanna Mendez. Ruiz is neck and neck with the top 122-pound super bantamweights and has fought a high quality of opposition. Klinefelter is coming off her exciting toe to toe battle victory over the well-respected Lakeysha Williams.

As a professional boxer, Klinefelter brings a nonstop aggressive style to the ring, making her a fan favorite. Christina Ruiz likes to mix it up as well. Because this is such a great style matchup, this fight promises to be an all-out entertaining war.
