Notre Dame Boxing Champion Mike Lee heads to the boxing capital of the world, Las Vegas, Nevada this Friday night, May 6th for a four round light heavyweight showdown against Gilbert Gastelum on ESPN2’s Friday Night Fights from the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino.

The 23 year old Lee, displaying a rare combination of “Brains and Brawn”, graduated from the University Of Notre Dame at top of his class in 2009 with a Finance Degree.

Currently Lee is a top rated light heavyweight professional boxer, having compiled an undefeated record of 4-0-0 with three knockouts.

The Wheaton, Illinois native was a three-time Notre Dame Boxing Champion and after winning the Chicago Golden Gloves signed with Top Rank Incorporated.

Known for his devastating power in both hands, Lee has relocated to Houston, Texas, training full time under the world renowned Ronnie Shields.

On February 26th, Lee brutally stopped Pablo Gomez in the first round at the Palms Resort and Casino in Las Vegas. The destructive knockout was featured in a two page photo spread in ESPN The Magazine (March 22, 2011 issue).

As has been the case in Lee’s previous fights, a huge crowd of Notre Dame Alums and Chicagoland supporters will be in attendance on Friday night at Mandalay Bay.
