Tonight at the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino, Las Vegas, the WBA Super World Light-Welterweight and IBF Light-Welterweight Unification Bout between Amir Khan and Zab Judah takes place.
Both boxers weighed in yesterday amidst huge crowd support and seemed happy and relaxed as they stepped up to the scales.
Amir ‘King’ Khan of Bolton, England, weighed in at 140 pounds, as did Zab ‘Super’ Judah of Brooklyn, New York.
At a press conference earlier this week, Judah (also calling himself the ‘International Assassin’) says he is “ready and focussed. That’s what makes a champion…” he said, “..to be knocked down and to climb back to the top!”
Khan remained cool and confident as he admitted “I know this is a tough fight against Judah – he’s very awkward, he’s a tricky southpaw, he’s won many World titles – but I don’t think this is his time”.
The fight will be screened live on HBO in the U.S. and Primetime PPV in the UK.
