Hard Hitting Prospect Flores Added To “November Reign”

Javier “El Chino” Flores, the undefeated welterweight from New Haven, Conn., will be featured on next month’s “November Reign” show on Saturday, Nov. 5, 2011 at the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Conn., presented by Jimmy Burchfield’s Classic Entertainment & Sports in association with Global Boxing.

Flores (6-0, 6 KOs), born in Aguadilla, Puerto Rico, and now training out of the Boxing In Faith gym in New Haven, will face an opponent to be determined in a six-round bout. The 25-year-old southpaw recently defeated veteran Shakha Moore by seventh-round knockout in nearby Hartford on June 18th.

“November Reign” will also feature a 12-round WBC International heavyweight championship bout between title-holder Mariusz Wach (25-0, 13 KOs) and former world champion Oliver McCall (56-11, 37 KOs), in addition to a 10-round NABF middleweight title bout between undefeated Patrick Majewski (17-0, 11 KOs) of Atlantic City, N.J., and Dionisio Miranda (21-7-2, 18 KOs) of Barranquilla, Colombia.

Reigning USNBC middleweight champion Elvin Ayala (24-5-1, 11 KOs) of New Haven will face Miguel Hernandez (20-11, 10 KOs), a former contestant on Season 3 of “The Contender,” in a 10-round non-title bout.

The undercard also features a four-round super middleweight bout between New Haven’s Rick Dawson (4-0, 1 KO) and Borngod Washington (2-9) of Queens, N.Y., and a four-round heavyweight showdown between power-punchers Artur Szpilka (7-0, 5 KOs) of Wieliczka, Poland, and Josh Harris (8-5-1, 6 KOs) of Providence, R.I., by way of Youngstown, Ohio.

In a battle of unbeaten welterweights, New Haven’s Edwin Soto (7-0-1, 3 KOs) will face Diego Pereira (6-0, 2 KOs) of Pawtucket, R.I., in a six-round bout, and junior featherweight Josh Crespo (0-0-1) will battle newcomer Nate Green of New Haven in a four-round bout. Super featherweight Kamil Laszczyk (4-0, 3 KOs) of North Bergen; cruiserweight Jose Torres (0-1) of Springfield, Mass.; and junior welterweight Christian Lao (2-1, 1 KO) of New Haven will also be on the undercard in separate bouts.
