
On Friday, Manchester’s – Anthony ‘Million Dollar’ Crolla successfully defended his British Lightweight Title by Unanimous Points decision over Willie Limond of Glasgow. The Frank Warren Promoted event at Ravenscraig Sports Centre, Motherwell, Scotland, also featured the British Masters Light Middleweight Title Eliminator between Kris Carslaw of Paisley and Matthew Hall of Manchester – with Hall getting the Unanimous Points win.
Mickey Helliot’s ten-bout card at the Coronet Theatre, Elephant and Castle, Southwark, London, headlined the BBBofC Southern Area Lightweight Title between Ben Murphy of Hove and Tony Owen of Carshalton. Murphy secured the Title win with a fourth round TKO.
On Saturday, Dave Coldwell promoted an eight-card bill at the Magna Centre, Rotherham. The headliner saw Yorkshire-man Curtis Woodhouse force the retirement of Gary McArthur in the fourth round of a ten-round Welterweight Contest – McArthur citing a hand injury.
Also on the Bill, Sheffield’s – Ryan Rhodes, out-pointed Ukrainian born – Siarhei Khomitski in their eight round Light-Middleweight Contest.
And, David Barnes made a welcome return to the ring after a two year break. The Manchester boxer out-pointed Ghanaian – Isaac Quartey, over six rounds at Light Welterweight.
