Kickin’ It In London: Clement Marfo To Open Prizefighter

Prizefighter International Heavyweights kicks off in style on Wednesday night (June 20) as Clement Marfo and the Frontline perform their smash hit ‘Champion’ ahead of a knockout night at York Hall, Bethnal Green.

South London MC Marfo and his crew will take to the ring as the show goes live on Sky Sports 1HD at 9pm, before the contenders in the 25th edition of Matchroom Sport’s eight man, one night tournament battle it out for the title.

Clement Marfo and the Frontline stormed onto the scene late in 2011 with their diverse fusion of soul, rock and R & B and ‘Champion’ is the perfect curtain-raiser to a huge evening of boxing in east London as one fighter aims to emerge victorious in a crucial night in their careers.

Poland’s Albert Sosnowski faces against American Maurice Harris in the opening quarter-final and the winner will meet either Kevin ‘Kingpin’ Johnson or Moroccan Noureddine Meddoune in the first semi-final.

Quarter-final three sees New Yorker Tor Hamer against Brazil’s Marcelo Luiz Nascimento with the winner facing the victor in the all-England clash in quarter-final four between Tom Dallas and Tom Hamer.
