The City of Fallon, NV and Let’s Get It On Promotions are pleased to announce the fIfth annual “Rural Rumble” Fallon Fights 2012, Saturday, August 25th at the Churchill County Fairgrounds. “Rural Rumble 2012” will feature world class professional boxing.
The sensational Vasquez brothers of Reno look to shine in Fallon on August 25th. Oscar Vasquez (2-1) returns to Fallon after a non-stop action win over Vincente Medellin last year. Oscar’s younger brother, Santos, will be making his highly anticipated professional debut at Rural Rumble 2012.
Santos, who was a top USA boxing amateur and nearly a member of the 2012 USA Olympic team, is setting on his way to a world title shot.
Oscar is scheduled to face Edwin Reyes in a six-round, Flyweight bout. Santos is slated to fight Julio Gomez of New Mexico in a four-round, Jr. Flyweight bout.
In a local special attraction bout, Carson City’s undefeated Jr. Middleweight prospect Jose “Chuy” Elizondo (1-0) will be fighting Omar Zaldivar (1-1) of Fernley, NV in a four-rounder.
Reno favorite “Bubba” Dupree (1-2) will also be fighting in a light heavyweight bout.
Fallon Fights 2012 will once again be held outdoors at the Churchill County Fairgrounds – 325 Sheckler Rd.
