It was a great night of boxing last night at the USN Bolton Arena, where Eddie Hearn and Matchroom Boxing headlined two Title bouts.
Anthony ‘Million Dollar’ Crolla won the vacant WBO Inter-Continental Lightweight Title on points over Gavin Rees of Newbridge, Wales.
Paul Smith of Liverpool scored a sixth round TKO over Tony Dodson of Liverpool to win the vacant BBBofC British Super-Middleweight Title. Just like their first meeting – this fight was bloody with both men sustaining cuts. Referee Richie Davies stepped in to stop the fight in the sixth after Dodson took a heavy punch to the head.
Blackpool’s Brian Rose scored a points victory over Alexey Ribchev of Bulgaria in their ten round Light-Middleweight Contest.
And Bury’s Scott Quigg scored a third round KO over Brazil’s William Prado in his first contest under new Promoter Hearn.
