It was a cracking end to the Season for Steve Wood of VIP Promotions – who hosted a thrilling thirteen fight show last night (Saturday) at Devere Whites, Reebok Stadium, Bolton.
Topping the Bill – local man Chris ‘Twinny’ Jenkinson landed a peach of a body-shot which rendered Lyndon Newman of Denton powerless to continue. Unable to get up from his knee at the end of the count – Newman was forced to watch Jenkinson lift the British Masters Silver Light-Middleweight Belt.
An unfortunate clash of heads ended Alistair Burt Warren’s hopes of the Central Area Super-Middleweight Title. Warren sustained a nasty cut to the left brow almost immediately they began the opening round. By the end of the second frame ‘Burt’s’ face was awash with blood from further cuts to the left eye and right brow and on advice from the ringside Doctor – Referee John Latham was forced to wave the contest off before Warren of Huddersfield and Luke Blackledge of Accrington began the third round.
The decision was a Technical Draw.

Fans of ‘Mushy’ were clearly upset at the decision as at least one plastic bottle was lobbed at the ring causing MC Michael Pass to shout stern words at the culprits (and this was the first bout of the evening!)
Mushtaq gets off the mark with a disappointing draw, while a delighted Kristian Laight’s record now stands at 7 wins 154 losses (4 by KO) and 7 draws.

Tucker’s record now stands at 8 wins (3 by KO) 62 losses (3 by KO) and 4 draws
Adam Ismael (Debutant) (Liverpool) v Matt Seawright (Tamworth)
