In what was one of the most anticipated weigh-ins in a long time, Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. weighed in at 172.4 pounds while WBO #1 ranked Middleweight Bryan Vera checked in at 171.2 pounds for Saturday night’s ten round bout at the StubHub Center in Carson, California.
Chavez Jr. is coming off a WBC middleweight championship loss to Sergio Martinez while Vera is engaging in his first world title contest.
The fight is promoted by Top Rank and Banner Promotions and will be seen Live on HBO beginning at 10:15 eastern time.
