It was a disappointing end to Friday nights’ boxing at Ponds Forge, Sheffield, when the headlining bout was declared a Technical Draw after one round.
Navid Mansouri’s defence of the English Light Middleweight Title ended after the opening frame when a clash of heads caused a nasty cut to the corner of opponent Matthew Mallin’s right eye.
Mansouri of Rotherham retains his Title. His record now stands at 12 wins (3 by KO) 1 loss and 2 draws.
Mallin of Barnsley has a record of 9 wins (2 by KO) 1 loss and 1 draw.
