Coldwell Boxing’s “Hot Shots” feature, set for Manchester’s Bowlers Centre on November 22, was today the recipient of a major boost – as local favourite John Murray was added to the bill as he participates in his first contest in almost two years since his brave loss to upcoming Manny Pacquiao foe, Brandon Rios.
After including Murray on a show that features a wealth of Northwest talent such as Robbie Davies Jnr and Liam Hanrahan, promoter Dave Coldwell is expecting an exciting night.
“There are a number of quality young fighters already on the bill and I was looking forward to watching them continue with their education but now John is on the show, I’m looking forward to it even more.
“John had a couple of hard fights back in 2011 but he’s still got time on his side to have a big say in the sport and there’s a ton of attractive options for him in the UK because he’s arguably the country’s most exciting lightweight. John is a popular boy in Manchester and our shows at Bowlers always have a fantastic atmosphere. This one will be no different.”
Coldwell Boxing presents “Hot Shots” Featuring the return of Manchester’s John Murray. A Stacked undercard also features Robbie Davies Jnr, Liam Hanrahan, Ryan Doyle and Jimmy Kelly.
