The World Boxing Association family joins the mourning of the family and relatives of World Boxing Council President, Mr. Jose Sulaiman, who passed away today in California, United States.
Jose Sulaiman resided at UCLA Hospital in the United States since last October, where he died from complications this evening, according to the official communication of the WBC, which Sulaiman had presided over since 1975.
“He was the father of modern boxing. He dedicated his life to the sport that was his passion. Undoubtedly, José was a great among the great leaders. Peace to his soul,” said the President of the WBA, Gilberto Mendoza when learned about José Sulaimán sensible pass away.
“I am speechless before this unfortunate loss of José Sulaimán, a great boxing leader. He was a very humanitarian mentor. My condolences”, said the Vice President of the WBA, Gilberto Jesús Mendoza.
The funeral of President of the WBC, José Sulaimán will be take place in the French pantheon of Legaria in city of Mexico, this Friday from 12:00 noon.
