WBA Appoints Officials For Saturday’s Double Title Bill

Colombian referee Uriel Aguilera will be the third man in the ring on Saturday May 24, 2014, in Mexico, for the World Boxing Association 115 pounds interim title fight between David “Tornado” Sanchez and Breilor Terán.

The other officials will Nicaraguan Gustavo Jarquín, Lynn Carter and Gloria Martinez, both from USA. In the same program, the world champion in recess, the Mexican Jackie Nava, returns to the ring after her maternity leave.

The Super Bantam queen will face the Venezuelan Alys “La China” Sanchez, who holds the interim belt.

For that fight, WBA appointed only female officials. The referee will be Romina Arroyo from Argenina, and the scorecards will be in the hands of Lynne Carter, Carla Caiz and Gloria Martinez.

The supervisor of both fights will be the Venezuelan WBA Noryoli Gil.
