WBA Update: Tello vs. Petalcorin For Interim 108 Pound Title

Raul Caiz Sr. from the USA will be the referee of the 108 interim WBA title fight between the Panamanian Walter Tello and the Filippino Randy Petalcorin on August 23 in China.

The fight venue will be the Mercedes Benz Arena of Shanghai,
Caíz Sr will be accompanied by judges Ferlin Marsh (NZ), Derek Milham (NZ) and Pinit Prayadsab (THAI). The supervisor in charge will be Yang Sup Shim (KOR).

Tello‘s record is 20-7, 8 KO´s and Petalcorin’s 21-1-1, 16 KO´s.

The Panamanian has two previous attempts to win the 108 championship belt, one in March 2013 when he fought the interim champion at the time, Alberto Rossel, and lost by unanimous decision, and the second in 2010 he fought Giovanni Segura and lost by TKO 3.

This will be Petalcorin’s first title shot.
