Exciting Welterweight prospect Matt McCarthy, from Tilbury in Essex, is the latest up and coming prospect to put pen to paper and sign a three year promotional deal with Goodwin Promotions.
Twenty one year old Matt has won 9 from 10 contests and, after teaming up with manager Terry Coulter, felt that signing with the Goodwins was the best move for his career.
“I can see that the Goodwin team are making massive strides forward and I want to be part of that progression”, said Matt.
Manager Terry was delighted with the new team, “I am good friends with Alan Smith of Ibox gym and Alan highly recommended Steve and his team and after meeting them it was an easy decision.”
Matt will be out on the 29th November on the Goodwin “Under Starters Orders” show where he will have a six round contest.
Steve Goodwin said, “It is great to have such a great talent join our team and I would like to thank both Terry and Matt for putting their faith in us.
“We will be working extremely hard to fulfill Matt’s dreams and expectations. We must all remember Matt is only 21 and does not need to be rushed. He suffered a setback in his latest fight and we will re-develop and re-build him towards titles over the next few years”.
