Sanchez (26-2-2, 20 KO) will defend the championship he conquered in May 2014 when he defeated Venezuela’s Breilor Terán.
He recognized his opponent in turn as a great fighter, “he was a great champion, a warrior in the ring, he is always walking forward”, and added that he hopes he is well prepared, “I am ready for a big fight. A knockout is what are going to have”, he said.
The interim champion talked about the title defended by Rosas in 2010, when he was IBF super flyweight champion.
Rosas (40-8, 28 KO) said to the Mexican press that he is not afraid of “Tornado” Sánchez, “I am well prepared, we will win and I hope Tornado is ready to fight. People know me, they know I die in the ring”.
He also said that he had studied the champion, that is why he is sure to win.
The Mexican champion was awarded as 2014 Boxer of the Year by the State of Sonora, Mexico.

He joined the WBA Executive Committee in 1965 and became Vice President until 1974, then won the Presidency to become the first WBA Latino President, after half a century of existence. He directed the organization for three consecutive periods.
The WBA family mourns the passing of Mrs. Berta Martínez Molina, mother of Gustavo Padilla, international referee and member of the WBA Directorate.
Mrs. Berta was born in Honduras 88 years ago, and arrived in Panama on August 4, 1951.
