WBA 130 lb super champion Japanese Takashi Uchiyama, retained his title with an impressive KO 2 to Thai Jomthong Chuwatana, in Tokyo, Japan.
Uchiyama (23-0-1, 19 KO) defended for the tenth time the title he won in 2010 when he defeated Carlos Salgado by KO.
The champion was always superior to Chuwatana (9-1, 4 KO), who withstood the attacks of different combinations of the Japanese in the first round.
However, he managed to get up in the second round making an attempt to control the actions, but was met with the incessant offense of Uchiyama, until at 1:15 of the second round, a short right to the jaw left Chuwatana lying on the canvas.
Referee Roberto Ramírez Sr immediately began counting, but as he did not see the Challenger respond, he decreed the end of the fight.
Until that moment, the judges’ score were Ferlin Marsh, Wan Soo Yuh and Derek Milham, 10-9, in the first round all in favor to the defending champion.
Previously, on the same program, the 108-pound champion, Ryoichi Taguchi (22-2, 9 KO) also retained his title by TKO 8, dispatching Kwanthai Sithmorseng (49-4, 26 KO).

The Russian is undefeated with 12 wins with 10 KO and Sturm (39-4-3, 18 KO) seeks a new Crown after having reigned as the WBO, WBA and IBF champion on different occasions since 2003.
Chudinov won the title in Dominican Republic, where he beat the local Andy Perez by TKO3 in June 2014. He defended for the first time against, Ben McCulloch whom he dispatched by KO in two rounds on December 11, 2014.
The American Rafael Ramos will be the referee of the bout, and Robert Hoyle (US), Victor Simons (PAN) and Pawel Kardini (POL), will be in charge of the the cards, all supervised by George Martínez.
