At the Victoria Warehouse, Manchester, Last night, Jimmy ‘Kilrain’ Kelly (aka Jimmy Kelly Jnr), won the Vacant WBC Youth World Super-Welterweight Title by stopping Ghanaian Isaac Aryee in the third round.
Popular Wythenshawe man Kelly sank a number of sickening body shots during the three rounds – one of which resulted in Aryee dropping to one knee in his own corner at the end of the third and was counted out. Kelly wins by TKO.
The Champs Camp boxer already holds the WBC Youth Silver Belt which he won in March by scoring a third round TKO of Nodar Robakidze of Georgia.

AJ Faizy (Lower Darwen via Afghanistan) v Lubos Priehradnik (Slovakia)

Referee John Latham took him over to the ringside Doctor twice for advice but the Slovakian was allowed to continue. Referee Latham then called a halt to the contest as Priehradnik’s face was awash with blood literally spurting out of the wound.
It went to the judge’s scorecard which at that point was 40-36 in favour of Faizy.
Morgan Jackson (Blackburn) v Sam Wall (Maidenhead)
4 x 3 Super-Middleweight Contest
There was plenty of action in this contest while it lasted. But Jackson’s corner are not happy about Wall’s head going in. Wall lands on the canvas in round three. Referee Mark Lyson gives him the full count (Wall is standing) but waves the contest off, much to the disagreement of Wall’s corner.
