At the Macron Stadium, Bolton, Friday night, Jack Catterall of Chorley successfully defended his WBO Inter-continental Super-Lightweight Belt in a thrilling contest against Joe Hughes of Malmesbury. On the Bill entitled ‘Jack is Back!’ – Catterall scored a Unanimous Points Decision to retain his title: 115-113, 117-112, 117-113
Also on the Frank Warren and Steve Wood (VIP Boxing) co-promotion – Luke Blackledge of Accrington successfully defended his Commonwealth Super-Middleweight Title with a fifth round KO of Ghanaian – Ishmael Tetteh, and Belarusian Kiryl Relikh successfully defended his WBA Inter-continental Super-Lightweight belt when Brazilian opponent Joaquim Carniero Batista was retired by his corner in the fourth round.
