At Fusion Nightclub in the heart of Liverpool’s club-land last night, Pat Barrett – BlackFlash Promotions (in association with Golden Gloves Gym) hosted a show that featured four contests including two debuts.

Steve Floyd (Debut) (Liverpool) v Ibrar Riyaz (Reading)
4 x 3 Lightweight Contest

There was big support for debutant Floyd who kept busy throughout with shots to head and body against experienced Riyaz.

Floyd wins on points 40-37

Sean Ben Mulligan (Prestwich) v Jumanne Camero (Mitcham, Surrey)
4 x 3 Welterweight Contest

Camero attacked from the first second and caught Mulligan by surprise! The home fighter was under a barrage of shots from Camero and backed up in to the neutral corner when he goes to the canvas. Just moments later and Mulligan is back down on his knees although it seemed it was from his own unsteadiness and a bungling down rather than a punch. Referee Mark Lyson waved the contest off while Mulligan was still on his knees.

Marcel Braithwaite (Debut) (Liverpool) v Anwar Alfadli (Sheffield via Kuwait)
4 x 3 Super-Bantamweight Contest

There was big support for debutant Braithwaite who appeared confident and had a good round one. He kept busy throughout while shouts of ‘patience’ were called out from the team. A decent fight from the enthusiastic debutant who gets off the mark with a 40-36 points victory.

Mark Heffron (Oldham) v Michael Mora (Barcelona via Nicaragua)
4 x 3 Light-Heavyweight Contest

Heffron scored a knockdown in round three. Mora got up from the canvas but went down again seconds later. Referee Lyson waved the contest off while Mora was still down. He recovered on his stool and stood for the decision.

Heffron wins by TKO Round 3
