Manchester’s ‘Genius’ Joe Murray made short work of opponent Reynaldo Cajina on Friday night to win the Classic Challenge Belt by KO.
Last minute opponent Cajina, of Lithuania via Nicaragua, was on the canvas twice in the 1 minute 40 seconds of the opening round of their scheduled ten round Welterweight contest.
Also on the Steve Wood – VIP Promotions show at Manchester’s Victoria Warehouse Middleton boxer, Liam Taylor, scored a fourth round stoppage of Belfast’s James Gorman.
The show also included a further eight undercard contests which featured debutants Ross Cooksey (winning by first round KO) and James Moorcroft (winning on points 40-36)
