Lara and O’Sullivan in a clash of styles  – World Boxing Association

The public sparring sessions that took place this Wednesday in New York had the participation of the protagonists of Saturday’s evening at the Barclays Center. Erislandy Lara and Spike O’Sullivan, who will face each other for the World Boxing Association (WBA) middleweight belt, could not miss and had their moment in the ring.

The Cuban and the Irishman have different styles. While the Antillean has a technical and elusive boxing that looks for the opportunity to hurt his opponent with precision, the European has a more aggressive and uncomfortable style that makes pressure his best weapon.

Both fighters made it clear that they will use the best of their styles in the ring and that they expect to put on a good show as the co-main event of the event in which Gervonta Davis and Rolando Romero will star in the main fight.

Lara has a record of 28 wins, 3 losses, 3 draws and 16 knockouts. O’Sullivan has 31 wins, 4 losses and 21 knockouts.
