WBA Asia reached Pakistan with a great event – World Boxing Association

WBA Asia continues to work uninterruptedly and reaching more places around the world. This weekend took place a very special event in Pakistan, a country with a lot of talent that experienced great fights in an incredible atmosphere in the streets and with a high presence of fans from this country.

Local Usman Wazeer won the WBA Asia welterweight crown by defeating Thailand’s Phatiphan Krungklang in the event’s main bout. The 22-year-old fighter, who is undefeated in 8 fights, scored a technical knockout in just two rounds to be the star of the day and give an important title to his country’s boxing.

On the other hand, the Filipino Arthur Villanueva won the South Asian bantamweight belt with a victory over the Thai Jakpan Sangtong by knockout in the ninth round. Finally, another Pakistani prospect, Syed Muhammad Asif won the South Asian flyweight crown by defeating Rexi Akbar by unanimous decision.

The Pioneer body was delighted with the reception from the public and the Pakistani authorities at this event. WBA Asia has had a steady growth and has reached more and more places to expand and develop boxing in this very important continent.
