Ford passed another test in his career and defended his WBA regional belt. – World Boxing Association

American featherweight prospect Raymond Ford once again impressed with a victory over undefeated Richard Medina to retain his World Boxing Association (WBA) Continental Americas title this weekend in San Antonio, Texas.

The 23-year-old boxer kept the distance to prevail with authority on cards of 100-90, 100-90 and 99-91 with a good use of his tools.

Ford has proven to be a man of challenge and his opposition quality grows considerably with each fight. This time he defeated the 21-year-old Medina, also undefeated and who has good punching power.

However, Ford, who is a New Jersey native, managed the ring to his liking, used his combinations well and nullified his opponent’s boxing with a refined style.

The southpaw improved his record to 12 wins, 1 loss and 6 knockouts. Medina dropped to 13 wins, 1 loss and 7 knockouts.
