Martin retained his WBA Asia belt against Tondo  – World Boxing Association

Carl Jammes Martin left a pleasant impression in front of his people in the Philippines and defended his WBA Asian belt with a wide unanimous decision over Charles Tondo this Saturday at the SM City San Lazaro, Manila.

Martin got 119-109, 119-109 and 118-110 scores in an excellent performance in which he dominated the fight from start to finish in his first defense of the crown.

The punching combinations and the movements on the ring were key for the champion to be all the time in dominance of the Tanzanian fighter and he will take a great victory that allows him to continue moving up in his career.

At 23 years of age, Martin remains undefeated after 20 professional fights, 16 of which he has won before the limit. Tondo dropped to 12 wins, 6 losses, 2 draws and 5 knockouts.
