Ongjunta-Boca for the WBA-Asia belt this Saturday  – World Boxing Association

Tanes Ongjunta will make the third defense of his World Boxing Association (WBA) Asian flyweight belt this Saturday against Jeny Boy Boca at the Spaceplus Bangkok RCA in Thailand’s capital.

The Thai will make a new defense at home against the Filipino challenger and his only goal is to remain as the monarch of the Asian continent.

He won his crown by defeating veteran Suriyan Satorn in March 2021. He defended against Lerdchai Chaiyawed in November last year and on May 10 again against Jakrawut Majungoen.

Boca is an experienced fighter who is coming out of a period of inactivity and wants to return to the ring in style. He has measured himself against good opponents and hopes to take the crown as a visitor.

Ongjunta has 10 wins, 1 loss and 5 knockouts. Boca has 14 wins, 7 losses and 12 knockouts.
