Zepeda-Diaz in lightweight confrontation – World Boxing Association

Last weekend it was confirmed the fight between William “Camaron” Zepeda and Joseph Diaz, a clash between southpaw lightweight fighters that will take place next November 5 in the United States, although its official venue has not been confirmed yet.

Zepeda is one of the best young fighters in the 135 lbs. class and will face a veteran of a thousand battles like Diaz in a 12 round bout that will surely put the winner close to a world title shot.

Zepeda is a great puncher and is only 26 years old. He has already faced several experienced opponents but now he will go for a bigger challenge considering the record of his opponent.

Diaz has fought some great fights in his career and is coming off a loss to undisputed champion Devin Haney, so getting back to winning path puts him in a good position to try to challenge for the belt at some point.

Zepeda has 26 wins, 23 by knockout, while Diaz has 32 wins, 2 losses, 1 draw and 15 knockouts.
