Yoohanngoh defends WBA Asia belt against Metuda on Sept. 3  – World Boxing Association

Thailand’s Phoobadin Yoohanngoh will make another defense of his World Boxing Association (WBA) Asian super lightweight belt on September 3 against Filipino Rimar Metuda at the Spaceplus Bangkok RCA venue in Bangkok, Thailand.

It will be the fifth defense of the regional belt for Yoohanngoh, who is making steady progress at 140 pounds. He won the belt in July 2020 and has since made four defenses in a display of dominance and quality.

Metuda comes in on a hot streak as he has won his three most recent fights, two of them by knockout. The Cagayan de Oro City native already has experience in regional title fights and is looking to spring a surprise.

Yoohanngoh is undefeated in 14 appearances, with 9 knockouts. Metuda has 15 wins, 6 losses, 1 draw and 9 knockouts.
