Roberto Duran is the third confirmed guest at the WBA Centennial Convention – World Boxing Association

Roberto Duran, one of the most important fighters of all time, is the third confirmed guest to attend the World Boxing Association (WBA) Centennial Convention to be held from December 11 to 14 at the Caribe Royale Hotel in Orlando, Florida.

The former Panamanian world champion will be accompanying the activities of the event that promises to split the history of boxing after 100 years of existence of the oldest boxing organization in the world.

Durán fought in four different decades during his professional career that began in 1970 and ended in 2001. He was world champion in four categories and faced the best of a golden era of boxing that remains in everyone’s memory.

He first won the WBA crown in 1972 when he defeated Ken Buchanan at Madison Square Garden, and the WBA is proud to once again count on the presence of a boxer of such caliber and above all, a friend of the WBA and a great collaborator of the organization’s projects.
