Petchyindee Boxing Promotions won the Niyomtrong-Rosa bidding – World Boxing Association

Petchyindee Boxing Promotions won the bidding for the fight between World Boxing Association (WBA) Minimum Weight Super Champion Thammanoon Niyomtrong and champion Erick Rosa.

The team representing Niyomtrong put on the table a bid of US$ 140,000, which exceeded the US$ 122,000 of Shuan Boxing, Rosa’s promotion company, and now the fight will take place in Thailand.

The dates estimated by the Thai company are February 22 and March 2, 2023. The winning company will now have a regulatory period to send the contracts and define the details of the fight officially.

This fight was ordered during the WBA Centennial Convention in Orlando, Florida, and is part of the World Title Reduction Plan that the WBA President, Gilberto Jesus Mendoza, undertook since August last year.
