Makhmudov retained his WBA-NABA belt in Canada  – World Boxing Association

Russia’s Arslanbek Makhmudov defended his North American National Association (NABA) World Boxing Association (WBA) heavyweight title with a knockout over Germany’s Michael Wallisch this weekend in Shawinigan, Canada.

Makhmudov needed just one round to settle the fight in his favor after Wallisch’s punishment forced the referee to stop actions within the first three minutes of the fight.

The power of the regional champion was present from the beginning and his superiority was evident against the veteran of a thousand battles that he had in front of him on Friday night.

The Russian fighter is based in Canada and is 33 years old. He is undefeated in 16 fights, 15 of them won by knockout. His opponent, Wallisch, leaves his record at 23 wins, 6 setbacks and 16 knockouts.
