Price will face Masson for the WBA Continental Belt – World Boxing Association

Prospect Hopey Price will have a big test this Saturday in pursuit of the World Boxing Association (WBA) Continental super bantamweight belt. The 23-year-old fighter will step into the ring at the Utilita Arena in Newcastle to face Thomas Masson at the Matchroom Boxing evening.

The flyweight card will feature Cyrus Pattison and Chris Jenkins in the main event, a bout that will have the WBA international welterweight crown at stake.

Price is a southpaw stylist of good projection who has shown his talent in every fight and that is why he earned the opportunity to fight for the regional black and gold belt. Last year he fought three fights and in all of them he won convincing victories against opponents of good status, so now he will go to another important test for his career.

He will face Masson, a 32-year-old Frenchman who has won three of his last four fights and has a 14-year professional career. He has fought in his native country, but also in Italy and Japan, so he knows what it’s like to be a visitor and has the firm intention to give a blow on the table.

The fight will be an interesting generational duel in which Price comes in with 9 wins and 3 knockouts, while Masson has 20 wins, 5 losses, 1 draw and 7 defined by way of stoppage.
