Canelo and Ryder met in San Diego – World Boxing Association

The next stop on the promotional tour for the fight between Saul Alvarez and John Ryder took place on Thursday in San Diego, California. Both men held a press conference to talk about their undisputed super middleweight title fight on May 6 in Guadalajara, Mexico.

San Diego is a very important city due to the presence of the Mexican public, besides the fact that it has become a training center for many fighters and hosts good boxing events.

Both Alvarez and Ryder talked about what this fight means to them and the expectations they have. For the champion, it is the opportunity to return home, show himself to his people as the figure he has become and, in addition, defend his belts.

As for Ryder, he got a dream fight and will have the opportunity to become champion against one of the best boxers in the world, which would be a feat for his career.

With a little less than two months left for the fight, the promotion will continue and both keep working for this fight that causes many expectations in Mexico and around the world.
