Pattison won WBA International belt in Newcastle  – World Boxing Association

Cyrus Pattison won the vacant World Boxing Association (WBA) International welterweight belt with a nine round technical knockout victory over Chris Jenkins on Saturday at the Utilita Arena in Newcastle, England.

Pattison gave a great performance against a more experienced opponent and overwhelmed him to force his corner to throw in the towel near the end of the fight.

This was a great win for the 28-year-old fighter, who became the regional champion of the pioneer organization, which is an important step in his career and in his aspirations to reach the elite of the category.

With this victory, his record stands at 6 wins, no losses and 4 knockouts. In Jenkins’ case, his record now stands at 23 wins, 6 losses, 3 draws and 8 knockouts.
