“Camarón” Zepeda demolished Arboleda and retained his belt – World Boxing Association

Mexico’s William Zepeda is one of the most exciting lightweight fighters and this Saturday night he proved it once again with a resounding victory over Jaime Arboleda to retain his World Boxing Association (WBA) Continental Americas crown at the College Park Center in Arlington, Texas.

“Camaron” gave no truce to the Panamanian and finished the bout in just two rounds after knocking him down three times during that stretch to keep the Central American on the canvas.

The 26-year-old Mexican southpaw continues to demonstrate his devastating power and scored another victory, confirming him as one of the most fearsome contenders in all of lightweight.

The WBA regional champion has defeated several experienced opponents in his recent fights and sent a message to the big names in the division after his win on Saturday.

It was the 28th career win for Zepeda, who is undefeated and has knocked out 24 opponents. For his part, Arboleda dropped his record to 19 wins and 3 losses.
