The purse bid ceremony scheduled today to determine the promoter of the WBC Light Heavyweight title bout between Adrian “The Shark” Diaconu and Chad Dawson has been postponed.
American Promoter Don King Productions contacted the WBC to inform them that it was still considering to promote
the Diaconu/Dawson fight.
The contract Adrian Diaconu signed for the September 29, 2007 WBC title fight against Dawson states that if Adrian or his opponent are forced to withdraw due to injury, then DKP would have a period of 6 months to reorganize the title bout under the same terms and conditions as previously concluded.
InterBox is not opposed to DKP’s position, and awaits further developments from the WBC and Don King Productions.
