Agustin Marini vs. Mariano Gudiño for Fedelatin title in Argentina  – World Boxing Association

Next Saturday, June 1, undefeated Argentinean heavyweight Agustin Marini will be facing the experienced compatriot Mariano Angel Gudiño. 

In the 10-round bout, the World Boxing Association (WBA) Fedelatin cruiserweight belt (vacant) and the Argentine national title of the division will be at stake. It will also be the main event of the card to be held at the FAB Stadium in Buenos Aires, Argentina. 

Agustin Marini’s current status

Agustin Marini, born in Mar de Plata, will face his first commitment during 2024, after a year of a lot of activity, his last appearance on the ring was last November, where he won by knockout in the sixth round against Christian Fabian Luis (9-3). 

Throughout 2023 he started with a knockout win over Sergio Damian Davies (2-10), in March he won by majority decision against Camilo Castagno (3-6), then several months later, he won again thanks to his punch against Jonathan Martin Giovenale (2-11-1) and he did it again in October against Sergio Daniel Cordoba (7-16). 

Marini (8-0), 24 years old, has a knockout power of over 80%. Likewise, only three bouts of his career in the paid boxing have gone to judges’ decision. 

Current status of Mariano Gudiño 

The native of Bell Ville, Córdoba, Mariano Ángel Gudiño, who will step into the ring for the third time in 2024, started the year with a unanimous decision win over Enzo Luciano Orellana (6-17-1) in March. His last fight to date was in April, where he won by knockout over fellow countryman Jorge Ivan Ibañez (8-3).

Gudiño (18-8 / 10 KO), 36 years old, has a knockout percentage of 55%. He has a winning streak of four wins and just one loss in his last five fights.
