WBA Sends Best Wishes for a Speedy Recovery to Marcos “Chino” Maidana – World Boxing Association

The World Boxing Association (WBA) extends its deepest concern and best wishes for a swift recovery to former world champion Marcos “Chino” Maidana, who was involved in a traffic accident this Tuesday on National Route 11 in the province of Santa Fe, Argentina.

Maidana, known for his grit and relentless fighting spirit, is currently in intensive care, where he remains stable and lucid after suffering multiple injuries.

A true warrior of the ring, Maidana made his mark as a world champion in both the super lightweight and welterweight divisions, taking on some of boxing’s biggest names, including Adrien Broner, Erik Morales, and Floyd Mayweather. His aggressive, power-punching style made him one of the most feared and respected fighters of his era.

Maidana’s legacy in boxing is undeniable. His warrior’s heart and dedication to the sport continue to inspire fighters and fans around the world.

On behalf of the entire boxing community, the WBA sends its support and well wishes to Marcos Maidana and his family during this difficult time. With the strength and resilience that defined his career, we have no doubt that “Chino” will overcome this challenge and remain an inspiration to us all.
