Stephanie Han Dominates and Claims WBA Lightweight Championship – World Boxing Association

In a night to remember for boxing, Stephanie Han was crowned the WBA lightweight world champion, delivering a stunning first-round knockout against Hannah Terlep in the main event of Ring Wars 15 at the El Paso County Coliseum.

From the opening bell, Han imposed her will with sharp precision and relentless aggression. Facing Terlep, the WBA’s No. 10-ranked contender in the division, Han wasted no time establishing her dominance. Just two minutes into the first round, she unleashed a barrage of powerful right hands that crashed into Terlep’s face, sending her crashing to the canvas and sealing the fight in spectacular fashion.

With this emphatic victory, Han improves to 10-0 (3 KOs) and secures her first world title. “I’m beyond happy,” Han said after the fight. “I’ve trained incredibly hard these past few years, and when I found out I’d be fighting for a world title, I pushed myself like never before.”

Meanwhile, Terlep suffers her second consecutive knockout loss, a tough setback for the lightweight contender.

Han follows in the footsteps of her older sister, Jennifer Han, who captured the IBF featherweight title in 2015. Nearly a decade later, the younger Han has now etched her own name in boxing history, bringing another world championship home.
